BS Nursing

A comprehensive 4-year degree designed to equip students with essential nursing skills and clinical experience to become registered nurses. Total Credit Hours: 134 CHs Program Length: 4 years Career Path: Registered Nurse in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare settings. Qualification: Intermediate (Pre-Medical) with a minimum of 50% marks

POST RN BSN

This program equips diploma-level Registered Nurses with advanced education in nursing practice, research, and population health across all care levels. Duration: 02 years, 4 semesters, 60 credits Semester Duration: 18 weeks, minimum teaching 16 weeks, exams 2 weeksAverage No of courses per semester: 4-6 (not more than 3 labs/practical course/semester)

Lady Health Visitor (LHV)

A 2-year diploma that emphasizes maternal and child health, training students to provide essential services to women and children in the community. Program Length: 2 years Career Path: Community health roles, particularly in maternal and child care.

Teaching / Learning Strategies

All over the University level, “rote” learning or memorizing information is generally considered less important. Student must understand and apply concepts and theories and be able to critically examine argument. The learning methods are therefore, based on the philosophies of self-directed and problem-based learning. Students are expected to participate in classroom discussion and to ask questions. Various teaching strategies are employed including: 

  • Individual & group assignments
  • Group discussion
  • Tutorials
  • Workshops
  • Field visits etc.
  • Lectures
  • Individual & group presentations
  • Pre & post conferences (PBL)
  • Community projects & research

Teaching / Learning Strategies

  • Complete all pre & post readings
  • Participate in class discussion, exercises, small group projects, tutorials, presentation and field work.
  • Complete all written assignments, unit tests and performance exam on due dates.
  • Practice all skills on each other & dummies in the laboratory setting and on patients in various clinical settings under the supervision of facilitator.
  • All students are required to attend group presentations and complete a written evaluation for each presentation.
  • Students are expected to acquire a minimum clinical grade of pass to satisfactorily complete the course where applicable in the course.
